White began his career in Scotland in 1984 singing for a band called La Paz, then a melodic rock band called Midnight Blue in 1988. Following the final demise of Rainbow in 1997, White has worked on numerous projects including Praying Mantis, Midnight Blue and most recently with Michael Schenker on his ‘Temple Of Rock’ album and tour.
